Thermal Conductivity Analyzers

IME SA provides a wide range of gas analyzers using different analysis modules according to the sample characteristics and the application intended.

The Thermal conductivity Analyzer module is usually provided in a Continuous Emissions Monitoring System (CEMS) or in a Process Analysis integrated solution.

According to the application intended you can choose between the following analysis modules:

CALDOS25 – for highly corrosive applications;

CALDOS27 – for the smallest measurement ranges and fast measurements.

MEASURING PRINCIPLE:

Differences in the thermal conductivity between gases.

COMMON APPLICATIONS - CALDOS 25:

  • Chlorine production;
  • Analysis of SO2 in metal roasting plant off-gas;
  • Ammonia Dissociation.

COMMON APPLICATIONS - CALDOS 27:

  • Hydrogen Purity measurement;
  • Turbo generator monitoring;
  • Inert gas monitoring;
  • LEL (Low Explosive Limit) monitoring.

EXAMPLES OF THE COMPONENTS AND THEIR RESPECTIVE SMALLEST MEASUREMENT RANGE - CALDOS25:

  • H2 in N2 or Air 0…0,5% Vol;
  • SO2 in N2 or Air 0…1,5% Vol;
  • H2 in CL2 0…0,5% Vol.

EXAMPLES OF THE COMPONENTS AND THEIR RESPECTIVE SMALLEST MEASUREMENT RANGE - CALDOS27:

  • Air in O2 0…2 Vol-%;
  • H2 in Air 0…0,25 Vol-%;
  • H2 in N22 0…0,3 Vol-%;
  • CH4 in N2 0…2 Vol-%;
  • Air in N2 97,5…100 Vol-%;
  • He in N2 97…100 Vol-%.

CALIBRATION:

Automatic calibration by means of internal control;

Zero-point calibration with sample component free process gas or substitute gas;

End-point calibration with process gas having a known sample gas concentration or with substitute gas;

Simplified calibration with standard gas avoids the need for separate Zero-point and End-point calibration with test gases.
