The Process Gas Chromatography (PGC) is a standard analytic tool of the hydrocarbon industry. It is an analytic technique which allows the separation and continuous measurement of the components in a mixture in a given chemical process.

 

The chromatographs for on-line measurement must operate continuously and independently of human interaction, taking a fixed quantity of sample, separating the chemical components using adsorption or partitioning columns and measuring the concentration of each of the components with a detector.
