IME SA provides a wide range of flowmeters using different measuring principles according to the flow characteristics of the sample components and the applications for which they are intended.

 

The Vortex type flowmeter (also designated as Vortex) is used to measure and monitor low viscosity liquids, gases and steam, essentially being used in the measurement of natural gas and acids/solvents.

 

Its robust design offers a high reliability measurement, it has no moving parts and has low sensitivity to changes in operational conditions (pressure, temperature and specific gravity).

 

Its compact design offers installation flexibility, enabling a flange mounting (DN15 to DN300) or wafer mounting (DN25 to DN150).

 

MEASURING RANGE:

 

• Frequency measurement (Theodore von Karman), obtained after the insertion of a barrier in the flow creating a frequency turbulence which is proportional to the flow).
