IME SA provides a wide range of flowmeters using different measuring principles according to the flow characteristics of the sample components and the applications for which they are intended.

 

The ultra sonic type flowmeter is essentially used to measure and monitor the water flow (hot water, cooling water, de-ionized water, potable water), of petroleum products, chemicals (including alcohol and acids), HVAC solutions (power consumption monitoring) and in the food and beverage and pharmaceutical processors.

 

As a non-invasive solution it produces no load loss and avoids leakage problems as well as flow contamination risks.

 

The bi-directional flow measurement (positive, negative and net total flow) requires minimal installation and maintenance costs (has no moving parts) exponentially reducing operational costs. It also offers high installation flexibility (possible to be used in explosive atmospheres) since it can be installed in tube sections between 12 and 1.470 mm.

 

MEASURING PRINCIPLE:

 

• “Transit time” principle, with two transducers clamped on the outside of a closed pipe working as transmitters/receivers.
