AIME SA provides a wide range of flowmeters using different measuring principles according to the flow characteristics of the sample components and the applications for which they are intended.

 

The Wedge Flowmeter is preferably applied to fluids difficult to handle, like air entrained liquids, particular entrained liquids, high viscous or slurry liquids.

 

Available in a wide spectrum of dimensions that range from 15 to 1.000mm (DN15 to DN1.000), it is used in a variety of industrial applications, particularly in Cement plants, Steel mills, Pulp and Paper, Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Petrochemical industries.

 

This flowmeter is characterized by it low maintenance cost and very robust enabling bi-directional flow measurement, requiring a reduced pipe section (upstream and downstream) for installation.

 

MEASURING PRINCIPLE:

 

• Flow measurement using the Bernoulli principle by which it is possible to determine the speed of the fluid or gas passing through the detection of the difference between the pressure measured upstream and downstream of a primary element.
